The night cried
for it feared the day to follow
would hold no promise of anything new
anything different
but the pain of victum
out of control
I wasn't where I wanted to be
and the tension inside me
wound up like a rusted spring ready to explode
for there was no hope
I took a deep breath
and I sought to release the air of despair
and cleanse my sadness in a shower of tears
when I felt the breath of someone across my shoulder and my neck
Someone who knew the same pains I did
Someone whose arms pulled me into a loving heart
and defused the tension inside
and made me feel whole and alive
You have healed me today
with the miraculous powers of your touch
I lost my worries and tension in your arms
my fears faded as my body melted into your chest
you filled me up with love and happiness and peace
you calmed my afflicted senses
you took away my doubts and revealed the good in me
I never want you to let go
My senses desire to devour you
I know the power we share can free us both
from this treacherous world
and take us far away
